Why Should You Join XWA?
The Xbox Wrestling Alliance is more than just a league, we're a family. Most of us have known each other since 2005 when Wrestlemania 21 first came out. We play Halo together as a clan sometimes and we plan to extend our brand name into other games as well. We even have inter-league matches against one another in different 360 games. So let's get to the meat and potatoes. Why should you, a highly skilled Xbox Live player join a rag-tag group of people that call themselves a league? 1) Cheesers - It's proven from our experience with SvR 2006 on the gamespy servers that people find ways to cheat. We simply prevent this by setting forth rules to create a fair and balanced environment in which to play. No cheap repetitive punches, no clothesline glitches, no glitch-grappling. We're in the XWA for competition, but at the same time, we are here to avoid all those people who will be cheesing just because they think being ranked #1 on the Xbox boards is more important than being a true sportsman. THEY ARE DEAD WRONG! 2) If you're in the XWA, you know what to expect from other wrestlers. You don't have to worry about glitches...all you have to worry about is getting better at the game. We are a CAW(Create-A-Wrestler) league. This means you can't be any copyrighted superstar from any wrestling organization; however, you can rip off somebody's gimmick and tweak it fit your desires. We like to be original...and trust me, in the XWA, you'll find plenty of that. 3) XWA is different in that we don't necessarily focus on wins and losses. I know people are going to suck at the game, but they still want to enjoy themselves. In our league, we offer numerous opportunities for people to get title shots by giving them different avenues. We reward wrestlers with Roleplaying Points which are garnered by cutting great promos, getting heat, getting into main event matches, and above all else, your creativity. You may lose every match you have, but there's still a belt out there called the F The Rules Belt, which is basically our Hardcore Title, which you have a chance at. In XWA, we like to think EVERY MAN HAS A CHANCE AT GLORY! 4) There's always somebody to play. The bigger we get, the bigger our player pool gets. You have plenty of people all over the world that want to play, but are they willing to job or let you practice with them so you can get better? We have people that have played this series forever and know all the ins and outs of strategy. You want to get good, you have to play with the best. You'll get that help from our experienced staff and even some of our wrestlers. 5) You learn a lot. Heck...I knew nothing about Paintshop or how to record video from my Xbox 360 onto my computer! Because of XWA, I learned. Not only will you personally learn how to use this tools, but you'll get surprisingly good at them. We will record PPVs and championship matches so those who want to watch can. We have LIVE weekly shows which let you air your dirty laundry or settle the score with your most hated rival. We even interview players for articles on the website or for audio presentation if they choose. We're looking to make the league interactive. We want the XWA community to know we appreciate them because without wrestlers, we're just a bunch of guys doing nothing. 6) I'm willing to spend money. Perhaps you'll fall in love with XWA. Maybe you want a hat or a t-shirt with our logo? I'll make it possible. Maybe you want us to have a real XWA trophy that I ship to the different champions? I'm not rich, but I'll do anything within reason to make this league enjoyable and functional. 7) MOST IMPORTANTLY, you the wrestlers have a say. I know what it is like to join a league and have to follow rules like a sheep. NO...won't happen here. You got beef with the rules, you state it. Come up with a better idea than us, we'll use it. The most important factor is to remember that I'm not trying to make money off you, I just want to create a safe haven for Smackdown vs Raw 2007 members to enjoy the game and be competitive. Sure titles, rankings, and respect are all important. They all have their place in XWA. But at the end of every day, the Xbox Wrestling Alliance should be more than just a mere league. We're a band of brothers, we're a community of growth, we are indeed and will always be a family.
