Recording from an HDTV without video output?
I recently got a Samsung HDTV to play my Xbox 360 on with utmost clarity and quality. There is however one problem I have come in contact with ; how am I to go about recording matches and stuff when there is no audio/video output on my TV? I did have all of the proper equipment, but that was for my old SDTV that did have an output on it. I play in Widescreen at 720p with the HD cables, leaving the yellow component unused. My capture card only has the yellow component input. From here comes some questions. Am I able to use the remaining cable to plug into the capture card, or will WMM not get the picture in right or at all for that matter? Is the best bet to just use HD splitters to an external capture device, or would that be too much work and money? I think the biggest question would be if it is really worth even recording myself when quite a few people are recording already? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

This sucks. You have the same problem as me. Well this is what you do. I plugged the Video and Audio cables into my capture device and I plugged the RBG into my television so I can play without the 1 sec lag. Unforunately, the signal is split. HOWEVER...this is important you can't split a digital signal. You have to play the game in regular 480p. Recorded matches don't look as great that HDTV feed, but it's not possible to record that digital signal without EXPENSIVE...I'm talking like $1,000...equipment. I'm basically playing the game in regular 480 p on my Olevia and recording through the video / audio cables on the capture device. It's the easiest and cheapest way to solve the problem.
