PROMO RULES - MUST READ
PROMO RULES 1) Challenges can be issued by making such a challenge or cutting a verbal promo in the challenge section of the forum. Of course, not all challenges will be granted. Each one is subject XWA official approval. If you decided to challenge a champion, if the champion accepts, the fight is BOOKED! However, if the champion ignores you, XWA Staff can and will take a look at your current status in XWA via RP Points and Ladder Rankings. If you we deem you worthy of a title push, we will say so. SO you can ask until your blue in the face for a title shot, but if you can't justify it, you're wasting your own time. We'll all just laugh at you. Okay...no laughing, but I will definitely point! 2) NO PHYSICAL ACTION can take place in a promo unless all wrestlers involved have agreed in a verbal/written compliance to do so. Furthermore, said parties have to both contact either a General Manager or member of staff before posting any promos resulting in physical interaction. There is one exception however. LISTEN CLOSELY. I will not tolerate any abuse of this. Each wrestler gets 1 free attack per month on anybody they choose. ANYBODY! Now an attack means that can hit them with something, have somebody jump them, but nothing overly drastic that would kill somebody. They cannot injure another wrestler! That is key. Unless it was agreed upon, these attacks will not injure another person. Now in the case of a heated rivalry, the amount of attacks can increase to make things interesting. Let's say that RD and Static are fighting each other...just an example. Best friends gone mad! Static might think he's going to lose the match if they do fight, but he wants to generate as much heat to frustrate RD and gain attention to his match (more RP points). So he continually attacks RD Money every week on a major show to provoke him until the PPV comes and RD wipes the floor with him. REPEAT ATTACKS have to be approved or granted by contract negotiation or RP Points awards. LIVE shows and sudden attacks mean people have to respond on their feet. We get to see who can really roleplay. Case in point, Static attacks RDmoney right after an interview backstage. He pummels and throws him through a door leaving him laying there. He laughes and walks off. What is RDMoney going to do? Is he going to use his only free attack to get Static back or will he just wait and beat him stone cold in the ring? Will he go out again that same night and cut a gut-wrenching promo denouncing their past friendship or will he stay calm on the surface and just leave? It adds a little bit of strategy. I'm always watching to give RP points...as well other judges will be watching as well. RD...and both GM will be watching closely to insure that the best Roleplayers are rewarded EVEN if they suck in the ring. 3) YOU CANNOT CONTROL ANOTHER WRESTLER UNLESS YOU HAVE THEIR CONSENT. Even in a surprise attack, you cannot control your opponent's emotional or verbal response to your attack. The extent of your control is the character falling, covering up, or escaping from you. THAT IS ALL! No crying...no bleeding...no injuries! I will repeat this: NO CRYING...NO BLEEDING....NO INJURIES unless agreed to by both parties. Once again, when posting promos controlling another character, all parties involved must contact a General Manager or member of staff before posting. That member of staff's name must be posted at the bottom to prevent any member of staff despite what faction affliations from abusing power. Example: Fred the PonyBoy attacks Randle Mays in a promo claiming that Randle takes a chair to the head and is busted open. Randle counters by posting that he grabs the chair and stabs Fred's trachea, thus Fred's windpipe collapses and kills him within minutes. In this situation, both wrestlers control the fate of the other. We won't everybody to control their own wrestlers here and to protect such liberties, suspension for a full month will be set forth. The guilty wrestler will also put placed at the bottom of their respective division regardless of points. Every one will get one warning for this rule. Any excessive action after the warning and the suspension will be levied. Any further attempts will result in immediate dissolution of your tenure with the XWA. 4) Return/Rematches for the Title have to be earned or granted in order to be valid. If the former champion held the belt longer than three PPVs, he is automatically granted a return match on a date of his choice. Once again, this must be clarified in the Return/Rematch section of the Forum by cutting a promo. 5) No personal attacks/threats will be tolerated outside of character acting or roleplaying. Any threats made will result in immediate banning and rejection from the XWA and any future endeavors. In addition, all XWA members will serve the victim in any way if they chose to pursue their wrongdoer in a legal manner. 6) Hardcore Title I want this belt to be special. I want this belt to be passed around more than Matt King in prison. So...I'm proposing that ANYBODY...ANYBODY...no matter how much they suck can come out and challenge for the Hardcore title any week. Basically...it works this way. If you want a shot at the Hardcore belt, you'll have to pay the price. We do have standing/ladders for World Titles. In order to challenge the Hardcore champ, you have to be willing to risk your ranking in the World Title ladder. Case in point... The Accelerator is the Hardcore champ. Static wants the title...but he's the #2 on the list for the XWA Championship Title. He has a choice...he can go out and challenge The Accelerator for the Hardcore any week he wants, but he has to give up that #2 spot. Meaning he falls all the way to the bottom of the Championship title ladder, but he gets a shot at the FTR title. If he wins, peachy keen. If he loses, tough luck! The good thing...he's already at the bottom, he can go for the FTR belt again if he wants instead of climbing the title picture. This gives all the sucky guys a chance a chance to win some gold. Plus continuous challenges can end up building really interesting HARDCORE rivarlies. But this is where it gets real interesting! Let's say both Static and Matt King decide they want shots at the belt on the same week. They both give up their spots in the rankings or ladder...BOOM...they both by the rules are allowed a shot. Well...there's a HARDCORE 3-way match right there! Only 3 guys can challenge for the title a week, but I can see some good storylines coming out of this. Let's just say RCG had the belt and he's been in a rivarly with cWo. Well...Tommy passes on word to RD that he wants RCG taken care of! He's messing up the business. RD Money is all about the bucks and business, so he tells Lord Law, Violent Jon, and Static to challenge for the belt all in the same week. Then we have ourselves a good ole' 4-WAY dance with 3 members of cWo trying to take the title and beat down RCG as bad as possible. Heck...who's to say Lord Law won't betray Violent Jon and Static just so he can win the title in the match. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THAT SITUATION! As far as the Hardcore Champ, he has to defend the title at least once a Week! If he picks his opponent, the opponent of his choosing won't have to risk anything. It could just be the champ wants to bully somebody. However, the champ can only pick somebody if there's no challengers! The second time you do it without your signature here, you will be reprimanded by XWA staff by loss of RP Points and relegation to the bottom of your ladder with NO CHANCE AT ANY TITLE.
